Help Inc. Law

  • HELP Inc.

Since 1994, HELP has been providing free legal services to low-income and disenfranchised people infected and affected by HIV/AIDS in Miami Dade County with representation on matters ranging from employment or housing discrimination to parents deprived of their right to see their children, to exploitation based upon HIV status. HELP ensures that people are treated with dignity and have full access to their legal and civil rights as well as public benefits. As a result, individuals remain independent and families stay together and in their homes.

Each year HELP's staff attorneys represent approximately 200 individuals. Our client criteria is simple, we accept cases on behalf of individuals living at or below the federal poverty line, who are infected or affected with HIV/AIDS, on any matter that is not criminal or fee bearing. Our clients face multiple layers of discrimination based on their economic standing, cultural background and HIV status.
